A Blend of Innovation and Environmental Awareness

A Blend of Innovation and Environmental Awareness
Generations Among the Trees:
The Park’s Broods

In the heart of nature, where the green canopy meets the sky and every rustle whispers a tale, a silent wonder unfolds: the broods of the oasis’ most captivating inhabitants. This natural park, a guardian of peace and biodiversity, becomes the cradle of new generations each spring.
Among the many nest boxes scattered throughout, the scops owl—the smallest owl in Europe—arrives after a long migration from Africa and nurtures its brood.

Nearby, the barn owl, the quiet queen of twilight, watches over her young with a vigilant eye and protective love.
Green and red woodpeckers skillfully carve their homes into tree trunks, where their eggs hatch. Their curious, feathered offspring, peeking shyly from the nest, begin to explore the world from above.
In the undergrowth, nestled among leaves and roots, hedgehogs create soft, hidden homes, where their young move clumsily yet tenderly, learning to recognize the scent of the earth.
In the sun-dappled meadows, peacocks display their regal plumage, fully embodying the vibrancy of spring. Their chicks, still shy, trail behind their parents through the lush greenery, learning the secrets of survival.

This park is not merely a refuge but a silent theater of life, ever-renewing itself. Each brood tells a story of hope, balance, and mysterious beauty.
Here, amid ponds, streams, shrubs, and leafy canopies, nature writes its future.

Migration Stopover and Ecological Corridor
RAASM: A Blend of Innovation and Environmental Awareness

RAASM was founded in 1975 in S. Zeno di Cassola, starting from a small building in the Vicenza countryside and evolving into the fusion of innovation and environmental consciousness it represents today. Over the years, the company’s growth has paralleled the development of the green spaces that now surround it, creating a unique environment where technology and nature coexist. This oasis-park setting allows natural dynamics to unfold freely, with no one telling the story better than the storks that nest within it. These storks, the symbol of the Oasis-Park, stand as visible proof of what can be achieved when innovation and the environment come together.

RAASM is a reference point for technical excellence and quality, but beyond this, it makes a significant contribution to the environment through the Oasis Park that surrounds its production site. The more than 1,000 trees, spread over an area of 160,000 m² and interspersed with meadows, streams, waterfalls, and ponds, form not only a refuge but also an important ecological corridor. It serves as a migratory stopover and a nesting site for the many animal species that frequent it.
RAASM’s Made-in-Italy products are crafted in this environment—far removed from industrial stereotypes—where environmental sustainability and social well-being are top priorities.

San Zeno di Cassola
RAASM Oasis-Park
Cradle of Biodiversity for Elegant Wading Birds

With their long beaks, slender legs, and two-tone plumage, these wading birds have become ingrained in the collective imagination as symbols of life—featured in fairy tales and folk legends. Yet, there’s something deeply moving about witnessing storks busily building their large, characteristic nests high in the sky, listening to their calls and courtship rituals, accompanied by the rhythmic tapping of their beaks.

For several years now, these majestic creatures have become an integral part of the fauna populating the Bassano del Grappa area, thanks to the RAASM Oasis-Park in San Zeno di Cassola. Thanks to the passion and unwavering commitment of Giovanni Menon—owner, founder, and administrator of the metalworking company from which the park takes its name—the area boasts a large botanical site where biodiversity has been a guiding principle.

For more than thirty-five years, white storks (Ciconia ciconia), along with many other species, have been welcomed here, making them a symbol of the company itself. A thriving colony of these storks has become permanent, despite their migratory nature, with a record 24 births recorded this year.
It is therefore no longer extraordinary to look up and see the graceful silhouettes of these wading birds, a species that had vanished from Italy as a nesting bird by the late 19th century.
